Basic Machine Embroidery Sewing Class
Basic Machine Embroidery Class – Are you new to machine embroidery? Having trouble working with your embroidery machine? Maybe your fabric is puckering? Maybe you want to embroider a name or initial on some towels but the letters sink between the towel threads? Call to schedule a basic embroidery class with me and I will teach you the basics of machine embroidery. This class will give you the foundation to create beautiful projects with your embroidery machine and feel more confident.
The class is two hours and the student will make small machine embroidery.
Some of the topics we will cover:
- Basic stabilizer guide
- Fabric to stabilizer
- How to choose a design to stitch
- Basic machine embroidery settings
- How to set your fabric on the hoop
- Proper thread and needle
- Starch, glue basting, painter’s tape and many more tips.
The class includes a written mini guide and an embroidery design.
It is recommended to bring your own embroidery machine for class in order to get the most of your machine features, but it is not necessary. The techniques that you will learn in class you can apply to basically any embroidery machine. So unless you want to learn specifically on your embroidery machine or because you are having trouble with your own embroidery machine, you do not have to bring it to class. Regardless, please send us an email or include in the notes what brand, model and year of purchase of your machine when you sign up for this class, this way we can customize some of the features in the class.
