In this session, we’ll master:

• Textural Quilting: Creating structure using your machine’s unique stitch capabilities.
• Artistic Accents: Working with decorative threads to make your project pop.
• The Power of the Chainstitch: Achieving that high-end, durable finish.
• No-Fear Zippers: Seamlessly attaching closures using serger techniques.

Note: While a combo/coverstitch machine unlocks the full range of techniques, serger-only owners are absolutely welcome! We have creative variations ready for you.

This is a three hour class.

Some basic serger knowledge is helpful for this class.

Additional information:

• We provide all materials including all the fabric for exterior, lining and contrasting, batting, specialty thread, sewing thread, zipper, ribbon, fusible thread and blue wash away marker and makeup bag pattern.
• You will need to bring to class: Rotary cutter, ruler and mat, temporary spray adhesive, Piping foot for your serger, your serger/coverstitch combo machine (if you have a combo machine), three spools of white serger thread, the manual and all the accessories that came with the serger, including the parts to convert your serger to a coverstitch machine. If you have a separate coverstitch machine, you can bring it to class.
• Bring your basic notions that you want to use.
• Class must be paid in full in order to take the class.
